Re: PowTTY and Laptop
I too would like to know of any ideas that ppl may have. I have been playing mume for about 4 years now, and have used nothing but a laptop and powtty. I have a few key-bindings (F1-12 or so.. mostly for targeted pk hitting/bashing/bashdis/track/some agg spells/etc). I took me a while before my fing...

Re: Promoting MUME
My attempts to help keep the aforementioned discussion going were quickly thwarted by the $9.95 registration fee. :( It got me thinkin though... There are plenty of free forums that I'm sure would be interested in hearing about Mume. I'll try to poke around a bit today and see if I can start some Mu...

Re: How do we groom new leaders of MUME?
First of all, I agree with pinion in the fact that it does seem like high-ranking Mume management is way to quiet. But here's a thought that came to me... The posts that have been coming up regarding this issue (which I undoubtedly have taken part in) cannot in any way be encouraging for those Ainur...

Re: MMapper 2.0.4 Beta Released
Just in case it hasn't been said yet (or enough), I just wanted to say thank you for efforts with all of this, Jahara. I hope that your efforts are recognized by people higher up on the totem pole as well.. *imagines what could happen with Jahara having more control* Joking aside though, I use mmapp...

Re: Hello everyone. New player, sorta
It's completely up to you.... Depending on how much time you put into it and how much time it would take to put into a new char to get to the same level, it might be easier just to start a new one. On the other hand, dont be afraid to experiment with some stuff. It cant hurt to train off everything ...

Re: Hello everyone. New player, sorta
Glad to see you back, Turd! (ok... I am freely admitting that I enjoyed writing that) The best way to get back into the game is to just start exploring as much as you can. If you remember at all, it is the thief class that does the backstabbing. Normally, you need to get to around level 14-15 before...

Re: Recent changes, any future ahead?
I totally agree with Adverse and Pinion. The issues really has nothing to do with the rate at which changes are being implemented... Obviously, plans are made, issues come up, and delays pervent actual impelementations... The problem is people simply want to know that someone is doing something . Th...

Re: Promoting MUME
Ok.. someone may have brought this up before, but has anyone ever thought about integrating a reward system for helping newbies (ppl with new accounts that is)? It seems like promotion is very much needed, but its all a waste if we don't retain those that actually try mume out. :) We would have to b...

Re: Recent changes, a bright future ahead
I may be ignorant for asking this.. but how are the actual decisions for implementations reached? Is there some set structure or process, or is it what Mandor/Ilie/Gothmog just deem best based on test-mume feedback? This may be something for the ideas board, but has anyone considered any type of pan...
