Did you try turning off the Num Lock? It's supposed to toggle between arrows and numbers on the numpad.
Also, the section "Why my arrow/HOME/END keys are not working?" at http://iterm.sourceforge.net/faq.shtml might have some useful info.

OK, looks like for some reason it didn't try to link with the zlib library when using mingw; should be fixed in:

Re: Help with MMapper2
Huh, that's strange. What version of cmake do you have?
Please make sure you get the same result with a fresh svn checkout. Could be some generated files lying around and causing problems.

Re: Help with MMapper2
Allright, if you are not using XMl mode with the mapper, you should give it a try. Most players (including the people who develop mmapper) use the xml mode and it's thus much more polished than the non-xml mode. To turn it on, type "change xml" when you are logged on with mapper and see if your prob...

Re: Help with MMapper2
No idea, but try giving some more information, perhaps someone gets an idea. - what version of mmapper? - what operating system (Windows, Linux, Mac)? - do you use XML mode? - how well is it reproducible? (100%, once every full moon) What does "local alias" mean? Is it MUME alias or your local clien...

Re: MMapper Segfault
I don't use Ubuntu, but my guess is that you need to recompile the app from source. The binary deb packages distributed in mmapper's page were compiled on an older Ubuntu version and perhaps they don't work on Ubuntu 10.04 any more. I have another idea because you mentioned that you did a fresh inst...

Yes, must be graphics drivers then.
What does "glxinfo | grep render" say for you? For reference, I get this:
Also, does any other app which uses OpenGL for rendering work?

Re: Should I just find another MUD?
I agree that this forum is pretty much dead, but the game itself has had about the same amount of players for the last few years. Not much change there.
You should certainly give it a try and then decide for yourself if you want to keep on playing.

When trying to complile last version of mmapper2 (2.0.4-final2) using qmake from qt4, I get following info: svn: '.' is not a working copy uic: File generated with too old version of Qt Designer Any ideas? I have a few ideas, but nothing that would easily fix this for you. a) try to fix the .ui fil...

Re: Need advice on a Cleric stat reroll.
Stats depend very much on your play style and what you want to do with your character. There is really no such thing as perfect stats. A combination that's good for one player might not fit to another one at all. If you prefer going around solo and getting store+quake, then it's perhaps good to have...

Thanks for the report.
The cart is working as it is supposed to: you can only get one set of basic eq after each death.

Re: Powwow Questions
I don't use Mac myself, but my guess is that Terminal.app's key-mapping has the same escape sequence for both "normal" arrow keys and numpad arrow keys. What you could probably do is try some other terminal emulator (google for "os x terminal emulator"). For example, I found iTerm which might be wor...

Re: Mmapper doesn't show map
That looks a bit like some kind of tiling problem. Mmapper uses OpenGL for drawing the map, and I think the problem might be in your graphics stack. Do you get a similar effect if you run an OpenGL test app like glxgears?

Try to run traceroute from your own machine [1]. That should help us better figure out where exactly the rather large delay is coming from.

Re: MMapper 2.0.4 Final Released
Some precisions for those interested: "Map recovery on crash" actually means "no map corruption on crash". In other words, when you save your precious map the result is atomic: either it succeeds or the file is not touched at all. This only works on non-Windows platforms however. Why doesn't it wor...
