Mapper

From MUME

Jump to: navigation, search

A program that automatically creates a visual representation of MUME's world is called a mapper. Usually it allows you to show your current position, the terrain, remembers doors, some mappers allow to display guilds, shops, places of fresh water or other information.

Some mappers are available for Linux and Windows.

Please note that mappers are neither written nor supported by MUME's coders and management! They are projects by other players!

If you encounter problems in setting up a mapper or using it, please do not ask via pray for help from the immortals. Use the site/email-address of your mapper's developers to ask questions, sometimes mortals can help if you "narrate" about it.

MUME has a special XML-mode that is supported by some mappers, for others you may have to configure colours via the "change colours" command. Please refer to the README-files of your mapper for further information.

You may try several mappers to pick the one you like best.

Please make sure you also read Rules Mappers, before you use such program.
